Foreman Carpenter

• EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Hourly
• COMPENSATION: $18-25/hour, based on experience
• AUTOMOBILE ARRANGEMENT: Employee is responsible for arranging own transportation to get to and from various job-sites throughout the Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire
• REPORTS TO: Foreman reports to Project Manager
• GENERAL PURPOSE: Foreman is responsible for the management and successful production of various jobs. They will be responsible for a variety of activities all encompassed around the idea of the delivering a quality finished product to Heroica Construction Customer in conjunction with a profitable job for the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):

1. Reading and interpreting specifications and plans
2. Determining requirements and planning procedures
3. Examining and inspecting work progress on site
4. Verifying safety and design specifications are met
5. Ensuring all reports and records are completed in an accurate and timely manner
6. Forwarding reports to the appropriate company personnel
7. Supervising, ordering and coordinating activities of labor and deliveries
8. Recording information such as personnel, production and operation data
9. Analyzing worker and production problems
10. Conferring with managers and technical associates in order to coordinate activities
11. Conducting and participating in safety meetings
12. Required to work a minimum of 40 hours, Monday-Saturday (knowing that weather may affect work availability at certain periods of the year)

1. Possesses a great attitude & work ethic
2. Neat & Detail-oriented
3. Is comfortable with basic math (adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, decimals, percentages, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum of verifiable (2) years of leadership/supervisory experience with a reputable
2. High school diploma or GED
3. Associates degree in construction science or management or equivalent combination of training and work experience
4. Experience in the construction industry
5. Strong knowledge of construction methods and safety law

WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. Works in a dynamic and constantly changing environment, ranging from multiple job-sites in multiple cities to work on the same site in the same city for months
2. Should be able to climb, squat, and bend to accomplish necessary tasks
3. May often lift up to 50 lbs. by themselves and 50+ lbs. with the aid of others
4. Ability to work outside in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures (25° to 100° Fahrenheit)
